Stingy is 18+. Here is exactly what we hold, and how you get rid of it.
Stingy is a dating service strictly for adults aged 18 and over. This policy explains what we collect in the Stingy app and website, why we collect it, and the control you have over it.
Account data: your email address and an encrypted password, or the identifier from the social login you chose.
Age verification: your date of birth. It is stored in a private table that other members can never read; only your resulting age is shown on your profile.
Profile data: first name, gender, who you want to meet, bio, interests, dating intention and the photos you upload.
Approximate location: the city or area you enter. Coordinates are rounded to a coarse grid before storage, so no one can derive your exact address.
Activity data: likes, passes, super likes, matches, messages, blocks and reports.
Device data: a push notification token, only if you turn notifications on.
To create your account and keep it secure, to build your recommendations, to deliver matches and messages, to enforce our 18+ rule and safety policies, and to investigate reports of abuse.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show your email address to other members.
Your first name, age, approximate area, dating intention, bio, interests and photos. Nothing else from your account is visible to them.
We share data only with the infrastructure providers that run Stingy (hosting, database, storage, push delivery) and where the law requires it, or to protect someone from harm.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deletion is permanent: your login, profile, photos, likes, matches, messages, notifications, preferences and subscription record are removed.
Limited safety records (for example, a report you were the subject of) may be kept for as long as needed to prevent repeat abuse.
You may access, correct or delete your data, and object to processing. Contact privacy@stingy.app and we will respond within 30 days.
Data is encrypted in transit, photos are served through short-lived signed links, and database access is restricted per user so one account can never read another's private data.
